Professional comic book grading eliminates concerns about grade misrepresentations by providing a professional assessment of condition and quality. Every comic book certified by CGC is graded by the hobby’s most experienced and trusted team, according to well-established grading standards. Furthermore, every CGC-certified comic book undergoes a thorough restoration check by leading professionals during the certification process. When restoration is detected, it is fully noted on the certification label.

Once certified by CGC, a comic book is encapsulated in a state-of-the art, tamper-evident holder, providing superior protection and stability for long-term preservation.

How do I submit my books?

1) Email Keegan @ comics2u@aol.com to set up an appointment.
2) I will go over your books with you and give you our professional opinion as to which ones you should grade and which ones you should not grade.
3) U will also let you know if your books can be improved by the pressing process. This process can flatten and take out defects on books that do not break color and clean up some of the dirt on the books. When done pressing can result in higher grades for your books. This service costs $15-30 depending on the value fo the book.
4)After you decide which books to submit you pay for the service and we fill out the paperwork.
5)I will then take each book and get it pressed if necessary and the carefully pack the books and ship them off to CGC. Each book is shipped on a coded CGC invoice and when your book comes back it will have that code with it. There insures 100% of the time that the book you send off is the book you get back.
6) Depending on what level of service you use depends on how long it will take for the book to get back to the store for you to pick it up. This can take as little as 10-12 weeks or as long as 6-7 months depending on the service you choose.
We have submitted over 10,000 books to CGC and all have come back safe.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost listed below for each tier includes packing & shipping with insurance to and from CGC and all CGC fees but does not include the cost of pressing. Pressing prices also listed below.

Modern (books from 1975 to today) Return time 3/4 months. $32.00 per book. Pressing is an additional $18.00 and adds 3 months to return time. Books worth more than $200.00 will cost more.
Modern books fast track. Return time 6-8 weeks. $50.00 per book. Fast-Track pressing is $30.00 5/6 weeks added to return time.
Economy (books 1974 and earlier with value less than $300) Return time 6 months. $58 per book. Pressing $40.00 adds 2-3 months
Economy fast track. Return time 3/4 months. $73 per book. Fast Track Pressing $55.00 add 5/6 weeks to return time
Standard (books 1974 and earlier with value $300-999) Return time 5-6 weeks. $85.00 per book. Pressing $60.00 adds 6/8 weeks to return time.
Standard fast track. Return time 3-4 weeks. $100.00 per book. Fast Track pressing $75.00 adds 3/4 weeks to return time.
Express (books 1974 and earlier with value $1000-2999) Return time 2-3 weeks. $135.00 per book. Pressing $85.00
High Value (Books 1974 and earlier with value greater than $3000). Return time 2-3 weeks. 1.5 % of value of book Minimum of $195.00 per book. Pressing $195.00 adds 3/4 weeks to return time.
